- Christians, Jews, Muslims worship the same god? How is it possible when looking at the tension situation in the Middle East?
If you had ever compared the QURAN (Muslim religion book) with the Bible (Christian’s religion book), you would noticed too many similarity in them. I ever discussed with several of my Muslim friends before and they in fact acknowledge facts from the 2 religion books.
Abraham was blessed by God that his 2 elder sons Isaac and Ishmael would make nation in Bible GENESIS 21:11. And that Quran reflects clearly in Abraham asked the Lord that his off-springs be a leader for mankind (Quran 2:124). Although for many years arguments were often on Abraham whether he was Islam or Jew, one sure thing is his 1st Son Ishmael was clearly a Muslim and 2nd Son Isaac was the father of Jew. Based on this trace, we worship the God of Abraham which reflects the same God.
Other main differences are Christians accepts Jesus as Christ while Islam claimed he is a prophet while the Jews completely rejected Jesus as Christ. But it was also written that Jesus also do prayed to the same God of Abraham as described in all religion books.
So why are there constant wars in Middle East? Biblical facts revealed from when Hagar, who is carrying Abraham’s Child was running away because Sarah who was Abraham’s wife mistreated her. (Quran claims that Hagar was also Abraham’s wife while Bible claims Hagar was Sarah’s Maidservent given to Abraham because she (Sarah) could not conceive a child at that time)
While Hagar was running away, the angel of the Lord told her to return and submit to Sarah while promising her. From GENESIS 16:9-12: The angel of the Lord said to her (Hagar): You are with a child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael for the Lord has heard your misery………… and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.
In short, the bible version of the Jews and Christians already stated there won’t be peace in the area as evidenced that today, the hatred has last for unknowing generations. Just look at the mess happening in the Middle East back in the past:

Summarizing the fact is that although both sides worship the same God, both sides held believes influenced by their own religion books. For that reason, Peace is much pretty far off until the day the real God appear and clarify everything. That will be the original Judgment day (Not Terminator Series).
