Even if you feel you given “it” to the right person of your life

(Things that can still potentially go wrong)

(Before I go on, please note that I’m going to be very ‘political’ and I hope everyone can spend a little time with me to look from all angles rather than 1.)

I understand this is a very sensitive topic but I’m putting my views on it because there had been long-going issue which all schools had tried many ways to tackle it but often their words goes in and out of people’s ears.

I can’t blame them for the ‘in and out of people’s ears’ part because MOE (Ministry of Education) instructions to all school is to teach ‘abstinence’ and only abstinence. So naturally those who are practicing them are naturally ‘turned off’ by the lesson even before the teacher starts teaching in-depth.

I’m quite serious when coming to such topic because before engaging into unprotected Pre-Marital Sex, make sure you are ready for the price to pay if things goes wrong. If a life is created in mistake, the irresponsibility isn’t very forgivable. Worst if HIV/AIDS is transmitted by the irresponsible one, the person has destroyed the life of themselves and others which is a great sin of life.

Lets us look at the issue from all angles.

  1. Average age in age a teenager in Singapore starts having sex is 15, with the youngest recorded age at 10.
  2. Unplanned Pregnancy leading to abortion had been an issue for many years.
  3. US statistic shown that above 80% pregnancies are unintended with about 20% of it from Teens
  4. Nearly research states clearly that women are usually the one affected the most by it. They are the one who will take the physical changes in the body coupled by mental and social stress and along with the stigma.
  5. Reduced education attainment. In Singapore society or any society in well-developed countries, education paper qualification holds the key to most of the good earning jobs. Young couples without enough family support will usually be forced to start working at a very young age. This has direct impact to educational growth of individuals.
  6. Some of the young mothers felt abortion is wrong and chose to carry their child while continuing education. (Not much public schools are very keen to take them in which eventually caused drop-outs)
  7. Many of the unplanned pregnancy, couples are often still in their Secondary, JC and Poly. Or guy in army.
  8. Sadly but true, many guys actually left their girlfriend after they realized their girlfriend is pregnant as they clearly cannot handle the problem
  9. 80% of the guys did not marry the child’s mother in US, this figure isn’t expected to be any better in developed countries
  10. Abortion has proven to have long-term health risk involve to the mother
  11. Guilt or negative feeling tend to also stay with the Lady throughout their lives
  12. STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) is another problem that comes along with casual unprotected sex other than unplanned pregnancy
  13. There are cases where girls <16>
